Worcestershire's Newest Good Beer Guide Tick
The weather wasn't as inclement as the forecasters made out. The new Worcestershire Good Beer Guide entries make a perfect excuse for an impromptu adventure, when nothing else is planned.
But I should take more care with my research.
A walk can be easily fashioned from the Old House at Home. The Monarchs Way providing decent bridleways for a quick circle through Stakenbridge and back through Churchill.

There are two pubs in Blakedown. The Old House at Home is a decent community pub, offering Wye Valley beers in fine condition. The fish-finger sandwich could have only been improved if delivered with chips instead of crisps. But I couldn't quite put my finger on why it had made it to the 2023 bible.

Two real ales on - A Hobson's Twisted Spire and an Ubu Purity. The suggestion as to how an out the way dining house made the cut was found on the bar.
