The Telegraph Top Pubs

The Telegraph's Top 500 Pubs is an annual guide to the best pubs in England, selected by a panel of experts rather than ranked in a strict 1–500 order. The judges look beyond the beer, considering character, history, atmosphere, food, hospitality and the pub's role in its community. The 2026 guide has expanded to cover 650 pubs across the UK, including 500 in England, with the selection ranging from historic country inns to traditional town pubs and modern community locals.
