Worcestershire is "Greened"
The final 2025 Good Beer Guide Worcestershire Tick is up for grabs. I hear the word "Bredon" and instantly think of the hill. Possibly my favourite place to walk.
There is a reason I haven't been to the Coach and Horses before. The village is a fair way from the hills. It could have been done, but 8 miles would test the patience of today's walking partners. Mrs M and the boy more interested in the Sunday lunch on offer than a route march.
So its the old classic circuit from Elmley Castle. Walk along the bottom to Great Comberton and then attack the hill from Woollas Hall. A new Adventure Lab Cache providing novelty.
And taking our attention away from the weather.

Relocate to the pub on the opposite side of the hill.
I starting to spot a trend. Each Good Beer Guide over the last couple of years seemingly needs to include one Donnington tied house. Good-bye the Plough at Ford, your time is up.
Like the other Donnington's - the pub is a beauty. This one going for the black and white thatched rustic charm and expanding outwards in all directions - a conservatory to the rear and the stone terrace to the side.
Beerwise - i'd say it was as good as SBA gets, if not a little too cold. Lets blame the weather.
Foodwise - everyone happy. No arguing about which of the three roasts to choose. They all come with stuffing, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire, parsnips and cauliflower cheese.
The boy won. His pork came with bonus crackling. With he proceeded to crunch with joy.
