Over the Edge for a Bathams
Diamond Bus 192 drops me off exactly where I need to be. The Monarch's way running West from behind the bus stop.
The hand drawn maps in this 1970s guide book are never the easiest to read. I know I need to go through Churchill, Caunsall and then attack Kinver Edge before dropping down into the town. I can take advantage of the North Worcestershire Path, the Monarchs Way and the Staffordshire Way. If I was planning, I would have stayed on North Worcestershire path and missed out Churchill. Beechtree lane home to fast moving traffic, with only a litter strewn verge for safety.
Although pleasant countryside walking (lane around Churchill aside), I have few photos to bring you. Except for the pubs, of course.

Caunsall is home to the perineal Good Beer Guide Entry - The Anchor. Famous for their cobs, which come with practically a whole onion applied. The beer is not too shabby either, Ludlow Gold, Butty Bach and HPA. Just remember to bring cash for the old school register.

All that remains is to conquer Kinver edge, picking the way uphill through the wooded South. Views occasionally available through the trees.

No surprises to where the post walk celebrations take place. The high street hosts two pubs - an empty Marstons and a bustling Bathams. Talk about fighting a losing battle.
